Organ Donation
Our Programme
We Are Donors is a national charity that is disrupting the lack of organ and blood donors through education and access to save and improve the lives of patients.
In the last 6 years we have....
Spoken to >6000 school students about organ donation
Significantly increased rates of planned organ donor registration amongst students we have spoken to
Increased awareness of issues Black, Asian, and ethnic minority populations face regarding organ donation
Our Solution
Our solution is education: so that everyone can make an informed decision; and access: to minimise barriers to registration, particularly among disadvantaged groups.
To achieve this, We Are Donors set up groups across 11 UK cities. Our groups receive tailored training and mentorship to deliver educational sessions about organ donation at local schools and run events at their universities. Our unique value is the message comes from people who are relatable. We are young and diverse, and we use this to communicate authentically.

About Our Feedback
We collect feedback from the students at all our talks. Over the years it has always been overwhelmingly positive with students reporting that they have enjoyed the content and would recommend it to a friend
Analysis of our feedback data has shown a statistically significant increase in the number of students who intended to join the organ donor register after the talk compared to before.
